The city's Sun Trans Belt bus service operates a regular and reliable route (Route 50) from Albuquerque International Sunport Airport (ABQ) to Downtown Albuquerque from Monday to Saturday. On weekdays, buses run every 30 minutes from 07:00 to 20:30, with many buses having disabled access. On Saturdays, buses start operating at 09:15 and finish at 19:45, leaving irregularly. Every Saturday bus has disabled access. There are no bus services on Sundays.
There are more than 10 commercial shuttle and tour operators permitted to run services from the airport to Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Two taxi companies, Albuquerque (505-883-4888) and Yellow (505-247-8888), are permitted to operate from Albuquerque International Sunport and there are always many taxis awaiting each arrival at designated stands outside the terminal building.
